 It was a good run, but  Padua Franciscan unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish by a score of  10-8. Padua Franciscan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Vincent-St. Mary apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in May of 2021.
  Brae Boguski made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run. She is on a roll when it comes to  triples, as she's  now  hit  at least one in the last four games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emily Black, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Even though they lost, Padua Franciscan  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That's the fewest  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 Padua Franciscan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Padua Franciscan will  face off against Brookside at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Padua Franciscan is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.8  runs per game  this season. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they will head out on the road to  take on  Northwest at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
