Nebo Crossing Academy comes up short despite Morgan Baker's dominant performance

The Nebo Crossing Academy Bulldogs were the 51-50 winner over the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Nebo Crossing Academy fell to Pinnacle Classical Academy 40-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nebo Crossing Academy has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Nebo Crossing Academy lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Morgan Baker. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him.

Leading Pinnacle Classical Academy to victory were Evan Bridges and Cody Humphries. Bridges scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three steals, while Humphries scored nine points along with ten rebounds and seven blocks. Bridges hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashilyn Lee, who scored five points along with five steals.

Nebo Crossing Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-3. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Nebo Crossing Academy is on the road again on Monday and play against N.C. School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th. Pinnacle Classical Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Highland Tech at 7:15 p.m. on December 15th. Highland Tech is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.5 points per game.
