Softball Recap: Sharon Extends Road Winning Streak to Nine

Sharon put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Karns City Gremlins a 10-0 shutout. The Tigers' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three matches.

Madelyn Vogan made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Addie McFann was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Claire Bodien, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Sharon's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Karns City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Sharon has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Hubbard on the 29th. As for Karns City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-5 win against Highlands on the 28th.
