Basketball Recap: Elkhart Comes Up Short

If Elkhart was riding high fresh off their 65-39 takedown of New Prairie last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Elkhart Lions were dealt a 76-41 defeat at the hands of the South Bend Riley Wildcats on Friday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Elkhart's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for South Bend Riley, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Elkhart has already played their next game (against Lawrence North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Bend Riley, they will face off against Culver Academies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
