After a string of five wins dating back to last season, Clarendon Hall's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the South Florence Bruins by a score of 3-1.

Clarendon Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Florence, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarendon Hall will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Thomas Sumter Academy at 5:30 p.m. on April 7th. As for South Florence, they will head out to square off against Crestwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. South Florence's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Crestwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
