Preview: Hill County Wolves vs. Grace Classical Christian Academy Gryphons
The Hill County Wolves will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Grace Classical Christian Academy Gryphons at 12:00 p.m. on November 25th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hill County walked away with it. They slipped by the Eagles 40-39 on Friday.
Hill County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tristan Knight, who rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. Knight was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Fisk, who rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
Meanwhile, Grace Classical Christian Academy entered their tilt with Town East Christian with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Grace Classical Christian Academy walked away with a 32-19 victory over Town East Christian on Friday.
Grace Classical Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Keith out in front who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Jones, who rushed for 41 yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Hill County to 4-8 and Winston to 6-5.
Hill County came up short against Grace Classical Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in October, falling 30-25. Can Hill County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
