Basketball Recap: Hale Center Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Hale Center won the last time they faced Tulia and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hale Center Owls came out on top against the Tulia Hornets by a score of 55-42. Given the Owls' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Hornets are ranked 950th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tulia lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Logan Becerra, who posted six points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zaiden Jalomo, who put up no points in addition to eight assists, eight boards, and four steals.

Hale Center has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Tulia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Hale Center will take on Klondike at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Hale Center knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Klondike likes a good challenge. As for Tulia, they will face off against Vega at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Tulia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season.
