Soccer Game Preview: Silsbee vs. Bob Hope

The Silsbee Tigers will take on the Bob Hope Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silsbee's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Silsbee's tournament run continued when they took on Hudson on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Silsbee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 387th, while Hudson are ranked 148th).

Bob Hope kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 11-0 to Port Neches-Groves. The loss continues a trend for Bob Hope in their meetings with Port Neches-Groves: they've now lost three in a row.

Silsbee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bob Hope, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Silsbee got the 'W' when the teams last played back in January of 2024 against Bob Hope by a conclusive 5-1 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
