Softball Recap: West Bridgewater Comes Up Short

West Bridgewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Cardinal Spellman Cardinals. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Brianna LaGrange made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Krakowski, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

West Bridgewater now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Cardinal Spellman, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Bridgewater will head out to face off against Case at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 11.9 runs per game this season. As for Cardinal Spellman, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Arlington Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
