Basketball Game Preview: Larimore Polar Bears vs. Hatton/Northwood Thunder

Larimore hasn't had much luck against Hatton/Northwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Larimore Polar Bears will host the Hatton/Northwood Thunder at 7:30 p.m. Larimore is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Larimore came up short against Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg and fell 70-60.

Loss or not, Larimore got some senior leadership from Jace Collison and Avery Gratton. Collison went 9 of 20 en route to 24 points, while Gratton went 5 for 11 on his way to 17 points in addition to five assists and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gratton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brison Falch, who posted four points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Hatton/Northwood had to suffer through a 65-38 loss at the hands of Northern Cass. The Thunder have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Larimore now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Hatton/Northwood, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
