Game recap: Lebanon bounces back to take down Joplin

Lebanon (Mo.) trailed Joplin (Mo.) by 21 points at one time, but managed to come all the way back and secure a 28-24 victory on Saturday.

The two teams were tied at 21 heading into halftime. The Yellowjackets took the lead for good on a rushing touchdown with 3:00 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Lebanon didn't take the lead for good until the the fourth quarter when it ran for a touchdown.

The Eagles' Chris Payton-Barba played well. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.

Brock West stood out for LHS in the win. The senior ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 23 touchdowns on the season.



The defeat comes as a step back for Joplin, which notched a 23-6 victory over Waynesville in its previous outing. The loss snapped Joplin's 3-game winning streak.

Joplin (4-3) will play a Ozarks game against Camdenton next week, while Lebanon (6-1) will take on Kickapoo also in a Ozarks game.
