Minnechaug Regional won the last time they faced Wachusett Regional and things went their way on Monday too. The Falcons walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Mountaineers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (92-89) Minnechaug Regional actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 14-25, 25-23, 25-23.

Nehir Elcin paced Minnechaug Regional's offense, picking up 18 kills. Elcin got some help from Cora Pace and her 39 assists. Elcin also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Aezlin Rost, racking up three apiece.

Minnechaug Regional's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Wachusett Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Minnechaug Regional will be playing in front of their home fans against Amherst-Pelham Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
