If Sussex Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Southampton, they should've done a better job of containing Zayden Pope. The Southampton Indians put the hurt on the Sussex Central Tigers with a sharp 75-53 win on Friday thanks to Pope, who went 13-for-18 on his way to 30 points and four steals. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Israel Key, who posted ten points in addition to eight assists and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Southampton's record now sits at 15-4. As for Sussex Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Southampton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-27 victory against Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech on the 10th. As for Sussex Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-40 loss against Westmoreland on the 8th.
