Banning Lewis Academy won against Buena Vista last Monday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The Banning Lewis Academy Stallions claimed a resounding 59-27 win over the Woodland Park Panthers. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 28 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Trey Oden, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Jones, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Banning Lewis Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Woodland Park saw an underclassman step up: freshman Zach Summeril almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. That was a full 44.4% of Woodland Park's points, marking the third time in a row Summeril has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Banning Lewis Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points over those games. As for Woodland Park, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

Coming up, Banning Lewis Academy will venture away from home to challenge Colorado Springs Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colorado Springs Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three games. As for Woodland Park, they will welcome St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.6 points per game this season.
