Sandalwood barely beat Nease the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Saints were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Panthers on Friday. Considering the Saints' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Kelsie Salter looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Sandalwood got a massive performance out of Annie Bascon, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. What's more, Bascon posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Dias, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Sandalwood's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Nease, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandalwood will head out to challenge Orange Park at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Nease, they will venture away from home to square off against Middleburg at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
