Baseball Recap: Wright Takes a Loss

If Wright was feeling good fresh off their 15-8 takedown of Ontonagon on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Devils fell just short of the Gladiators by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gladiators earlier this season, when they won 15-8.

Landon Buerger was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madden Sommer, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Wright has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Ontonagon, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Wright does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ontonagon, they will take on L'Anse at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
