Basketball Game Preview: Inglemoor Vikings vs. Bothell/Inglemoor Cougars

The Inglemoor Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Bothell/Inglemoor Cougars at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Inglemoor knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Bothell/Inglemoor likes a good challenge.

Inglemoor is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against North Creek on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Inglemoor lost 79-59 to North Creek. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Despite their defeat, Inglemoor saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Reuhen Bhalod, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 boards, was perhaps the best of all. Bhalod is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last 25 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Aman Sterling, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points and five assists.

Even though they lost, Inglemoor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Bothell/Inglemoor hadn't done well against Skyline recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Bothell/Inglemoor took down Skyline 71-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

The win got Bothell/Inglemoor back to even at 2-2. As for Inglemoor, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.
