Basketball Recap: Marco Island Academy Comes Up Short

Marco Island Academy lost against Everglades City back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Marco Island Academy Rays were outmatched by the Everglades City Gators and fell 67-38. The Rays just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Marco Island Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Everglades City, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mason Classical Academy the next time they take the court. Everglades City will host Mason Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Marco Island Academy will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
