Basketball Recap: Western Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

After losing to Paint Valley the last time they met, Western decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Western Indians came out on top against the Paint Valley Bearcats by a score of 74-65 on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Paint Valley still got an impressive performance from Carson M Free, who went 10-for-18 en route to 29 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave M Free a new career-high in assists. Jase Rinehart was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.

Western pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points over those games. As for Paint Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Western wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-51 loss against Oak Hill on the 5th. As for Paint Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 47-39 defeat against Southeastern on the 7th.
