Foothill has gone a perfect 4-0 against Dougherty Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Foothill Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dougherty Valley Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Foothill is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering San Ramon Valley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Wolves.

Foothill was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made San Ramon Valley work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 19-25, 27-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Dougherty Valley came up short against Granada on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Wildcats have struggled against the Matadors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Dougherty Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-22, 36-34, 25-14.

Foothill's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Dougherty Valley, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything went Foothill's way against Dougherty Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Foothill made off with a 3-0 victory. Will Foothill repeat their success, or does Dougherty Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
