Basketball Recap: Richmond Hill Takes a Loss

Richmond Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 81-58 to the Hillcrest Hawks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-54 back in December of 2024.

Richmond Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Hillcrest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richmond Hill will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lane at 4:00 p.m. on January 28th. Lane will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Richmond Hill surely won't give up without a fight. Hillcrest will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Beach Channel at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th. Hillcrest is facing Beach Channel at the right time seeing as Beach Channel is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
