Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeline Falcons vs. University Titans

Ridgeline and University are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2022, but not for long. The Ridgeline Falcons will head out to face off against the University Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeline is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 14 games.

Ridgeline is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Mead, who was ranked 21st at the time (Ridgeline was ranked 25th). Ridgeline came out on top in a nail-biter against Mead on Tuesday, sneaking past 56-54. The score was all tied up 30-30 at the break, but the Falcons were the better team in the second half.

Emma Myers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 of 15 en route to 20 points along with eight assists and five boards. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madilyn Crowley, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, University earned a 71-59 victory over Mt. Spokane on Tuesday.

Ridgeline pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for University, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Ridgeline didn't have too much breathing room in their game against University in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 51-46 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridgeline since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
