Mitchell is 8-2 against Huron since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mitchell Kernels will look to defend their home court against the Huron Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Mitchell beat Yankton 41-33. The 41-point effort marked the Kernels' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Huron, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past Harrisburg with a 69-64 win on Saturday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Huron's disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Harrisburg is ranked 13th).

Huron's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Mitchell, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Mitchell beat Huron 67-56 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will Mitchell repeat their success, or does Huron have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
