Central has gone 9-1 against Laurel Hill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Jaguars will take on the Hoboes at 5:30 p.m. Laurel Hill took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Central, who comes in off a win.

While Jaguars fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They claimed a resounding 67-32 victory over Flomaton. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now won four in a row.

Central relied on the efforts of Grace Jarrett, who shot 53% from the field en route to 23 points and six boards, and Makenna Enfinger, who posted 14 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaci Perritt, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 11 points and three steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Laurel Hill unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 78-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of L.E.A.D. Academy on Monday.

Everything came up roses for Central against Laurel Hill in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 72-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
