Volleyball Recap: Maddie Staley and Keiara Sheckelford Secure Win for Swansboro

Swansboro won the last time they faced Northside - Jacksonville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Monarchs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-7.

Leading Swansboro to victory were Keiara Sheckelford and Maddie Staley. Sheckelford had 17 assists and six digs, while Staley had four digs. Those 17 assists gave Sheckelford a new career-high.

Swansboro was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Swansboro's record is now 17-2. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
