Baseball Recap: Lynn Classical's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lynn Classical waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bishop Fenwick Crusaders a 5-0 shutout.

The team relied heavily on Ronal Brea, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Figueroa, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Lynn Classical pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Fenwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Lynn Classical will host Lynn English at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bishop Fenwick, they will challenge Cardinal Spellman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
