Baseball Recap: Capitan Takes a Loss

Capitan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 29-2 to the Magdalena Steers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Steers since March 21, 2015.

Christian Marquez-Padilla was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Capitan's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Magdalena, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Capitan will face off against Mesilla Valley Christian School at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Magdalena, they will challenge Zuni at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
