Baseball Recap: Jesuit Has No Trouble Against Sunset

Jesuit won the last time they faced Sunset and things went their way on Thursday too. The Crusaders put the hurt on the Apollos with a sharp 12-5 victory. Considering the Crusaders have won five games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jesuit is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sunset, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Jesuit is set to square off against their familiar foe Westview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sunset will take on rival Mountainside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
