Softball Recap: Jones Eagles vs. Mather Rangers
On Friday Jones's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Mather Rangers. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Anna Black spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jones got a massive performance out of Julissa Galvez, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Galvez a new career-high. Delaney Treccia was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
