Basketball Recap: West Henderson Falcons vs. Pisgah Bears
If West Henderson was riding high fresh off their 67-40 takedown of Smoky Mountain last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Henderson Falcons took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pisgah Bears on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while the Bears are ranked 31st).

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was June Scontras, who posted nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Scontras is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.
