Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kennedy Catholic). They blew past the Cardinal Spellman Pilots 16-2 on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Gaels needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Nina Sanese-Cavone made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Sanese-Cavone was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Aine Curley was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ava Voyiatzis, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Kennedy Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cardinal Spellman only managed five hits.
