Basketball Recap: Briggsdale Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Akron, Briggsdale was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bethune Bobcats by a score of 53-44.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wyatt King, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, King is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Ty Morris, who posted 15 points.

Briggsdale's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Bethune, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Coming up, Briggsdale will face off against Weldon Valley at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Briggsdale is facing Weldon Valley at the right time seeing as Weldon Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bethune, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hi-Plains at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
