Volleyball Recap: Rains Comes Up Short

Rains lost against Lone Oak back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Buffaloes, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Rains ultimately came up short, they really made Lone Oak work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 25-23.

Rains' record now sits at 6-28. As for Lone Oak, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rains will square off against rival Commerce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lone Oak is set to challenge their familiar foe Mount Vernon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
