Softball Recap: Berkeley Yellowjackets vs. Mt. Eden Monarchs
Berkeley had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-13 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Mt. Eden Monarchs as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Yellowjackets' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
Olive Lightfoot tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, June Shaller was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Riley Pritchard was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
