While Fisher's victory against Family Christian wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Fisher Gators narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Family Christian Flames 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Gators sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Fisher saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haiden Martin, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Another was Ian Otero, who scored a run and stole a base.

Fisher pushed their record up to 8-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing nine hits in those games compared to only 3.75 in the others. As for Family Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Fisher will take on A.J. Ellender in a tournament on Thursday. As for Family Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Plaquemine at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
