Football Recap: Bear River Bears vs. West Field Longhorns
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bear River). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the West Field Longhorns 44-7 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bears have posted since September 8, 2023.
Jaxson Theurer had an outrageously good game as he threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns. Glaiden Behrens made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Bear River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Quaid Murray and Behrens. The dominant performance also gave Behrens a new career-high in rushing yards.
Bear River's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for West Field, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Bear River will challenge Green Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bear River is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season. As for West Field, they will square off against Sky View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
