Softball Recap: John Marshall Comes Up Short

John Marshall and Wheeling Park squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but John Marshall had to settle for second. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 6-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Monarchs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

John Marshall has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Wheeling Park, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-14.

As of now, neither John Marshall nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
