Basketball Game Preview: Delphian Dragons vs. Chemawa Indian Braves

The Delphian Dragons will face off against the Chemawa Indian Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Delphian and 17 for Chemawa Indian dating back to last season.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-45, which was the final score in Delphian's tilt against Regis on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Rams are ranked 38th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 97-43, which was the final score in Chemawa Indian's tilt against Santiam on Friday.

Delphian's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Chemawa Indian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Delphian was able to grind out a solid win over Chemawa Indian in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 60-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Delphian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
