Softball Recap: Granada Matadors vs. Benicia Panthers        
        
		
            
 Granada lost against Benicia back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Wednesday. The Granada Matadors fell  14-10 to the Benicia Panthers. Even though they lost, Granada's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
  Delaney Aumua made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Saskia Raab, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
 On Benicia's side, they got a  massive  performance out of  Morgan Kacalek, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and five  RBI.  Emma French was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-6.
 This is  the second loss in a row for Granada and  nudges their season record down to 5-9. As for Benicia, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that  victory, which was their seventh straight  on the road.
 Granada will be playing in front of their home fans against Carondelet at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Granada is facing Carondelet at the right time seeing as Carondelet is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Benicia, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Alhambra at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Alhambra: 4, Benicia: 3) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
