Softball Recap: Granite Bay Takes Down Kimball in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Granite Bay had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Kimball Jaguars with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Grizzlies' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Granite Bay got a great performance from Paetynn Snobar as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave Snobar a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Sami McKown was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Leilani Terrazas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Granite Bay was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Granite Bay moved to 9-12-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Kimball, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-12.

Granite Bay wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-0 defeat against Whitney on the 16th. Kimball does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
