Volleyball Recap: Tri-Village Takes a Loss

Tri-Village was the 3-0 winner over Ansonia when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots came up short against the Tigers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Gabby Kirby paced Tri-Village's offense, picking up eight kills. Kirby got some help from Zoe Ayette and her 17 assists. Finally, Emma Whaley kept Tri-Village's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Tri-Village now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Ansonia, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Tri-Village does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ansonia, after both having extra time off, they and Fairlawn will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
