Volleyball Game Preview: Milton Panthers vs. Pace Patriots

Milton hasn't had much luck against Pace recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Milton took on Central on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Jaguars.

Milton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Pace entered their tilt with Crestview on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Bulldogs. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Pace took Crestview into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 18-25, 19-17.

Pace's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Milton, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
