Softball Recap: Dr. Phillips Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Dr. Phillips was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 7-1 to the Cypress Creek Bears. The Panthers have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Dr. Phillips saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liana Grosch, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Dr. Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Cypress Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dr. Phillips will host Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cypress Creek, they will welcome Ocoee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Creek's pitchers better be ready for this one: Ocoee has averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
