Darrion Bowers Has Career Rushing Day

Darrion Bowers posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 127 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Gannon Carey Makes It Two for Lamar

The second Lamar player making an appearance here is Gannon Carey, and for good reason. He threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 76 yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Carey might just drop another big game when he faces off against Sam Houston on Friday. When Carey last faced the Texans back in October of 2023, he threw for 350 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.
