Basketball Recap: Donovan Coates Key Part of a Team Effort in Kahoks Win

On Saturday, the Collinsville Kahoks didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the MICDS Rams, but they still walked away with a 64-60 victory.

Collinsville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Donovan Coates out in front who went 8 for 18 to rack up 22 points and seven rebounds. Stanley Carnahan was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points and five boards.

Collinsville now has a winning record of 14-13. As for MICDS, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collinsville will welcome O'Fallon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Collinsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season. As for MICDS, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Priory at 7:00 p.m.
