Volleyball Recap: Fairborn Comes Up Short

Fairborn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Butler Aviators, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aviators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Butler to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Dady, who had nine assists and seven digs. Addison Caldwell also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Fairborn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Butler, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairborn will challenge Piqua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Butler, they will face off against Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
