Neosho suffers ninth straight loss on the road

Recap: Neosho Wildcats vs. Forsyth Panthers

The Neosho Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 77-56 defeat at the hands of Forsyth. While losing is never fun, Neosho can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while Forsyth is ranked 88th).

Neosho's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Southern, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Kaiden Asberry was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Neosho bumped their record down to 4-11 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Forsyth, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Neosho will be playing at home against Lamar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 226 points over their last three games. As for Forsyth, they will head out on the road to take on Mountain Grove on Tuesday. Mountain Grove is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
