Volleyball Game Preview: Perry Panthers vs. Allatoona Buccaneers

The Perry Panthers will take on the Allatoona Buccaneers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Perry is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Flowery Branch. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Allatoona, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Jackson 3-0 on Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Allatoona took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-8, 25-8.

Allatoona found their leader in sophomore Ashlyn Jones, who had six aces and three digs. Another player making a difference was Lk Lamonica, who had seven digs and three aces.

Perry's win bumped their record up to 23-12. As for Allatoona, their victory bumped their record up to 35-10.
