Football Recap: Woodrow Wilson's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Woodrow Wilson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They managed a 13-7 win over the Lakewood Lancers on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Bruins: when they faced off against the Lancers back in August, they had to take a 13-6 defeat.

Woodrow Wilson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alexis Mc Laurin and Kira Ines. Mc Laurin also brought in a pick six, which is notable because Woodrow Wilson is undefeated when she posts at least one pick six, but 5-12-2 otherwise.

Woodrow Wilson moved to 8-12-2 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Lakewood, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coincidentally, Woodrow Wilson and Lakewood will both be playing Cabrillo the next time they take the field. The Bruins will head out to face the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Lancers will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
