Recap: Jefferson Dragons vs. Lennard Longhorns
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Freedom, the Jefferson Dragons were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Lennard by a score of 64-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jefferson also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.
Lazzaro Ford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Jefferson's points. Another player making a difference was Emanuel Robinson, who scored 15 points.
Lennard's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arcadian Davis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Davis has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 11 times he's played. Nigel Roseboro was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Lennard, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Jefferson will face off against the Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spoto is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Lennard, they will square off against the Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gaither is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
